About me

• I am from Mexico City
• I got my BS on Applied Mathematics at ITAM
• Worked on quantitative finance for about 4 years
• Then moved to Madison in January 2012 and stayed here
• I got my PhD in 2018 from UW’s Statistics Department

My position

• The official title is Scientist III

• My appointment is:

  • 50% working on Dr. Irene Ong’s lab
  • 50% working on the UWCCC Cancer and Informatics Shared Resource

• My office is in the WIMR wedge, inside the Center for Precision Medicine

1 day

• Bike commute to UW hospital (about 20 minute bike ride)
• Meeting with collaborator

• About 1.5 hours of research time
• Lunch with other members of CISR / Ong lab group

• Another 2 hours of research time

• Big HNC spore meeting at 4 pm

• Got back to my office and continue working some more

• Bike back home

• Spend time at home with my partner and / or doing hobbies
